Educational knowledge = The candidate must have passed 10th standard from the approved state boards by their respective state govt/central govt. Those candidates who passed a 10th class examination at their very first attempt will be treated as a priority and will be meritorious against those passed compartmentally.
Computer knowledge = The candidate should have computer knowledge and will be required to generate the necessary computer training certificate for at least 60 days from a recognised computer training institute. Documents from boards/university/central govt/state govt will also be acceptable for this purpose. Relaxation from this clause is provided in those cases where the candidate has studied computer as a subject in class 10th or higher educational qualification provided by the candidate on appost.in.
Age limit = The minimum and maximum age for this purpose of engagement to Gramin Dak Sevaks posts shall be between 18 and 40 years. The maximum age relaxable will be three years to those belonging to OBC Category and five years in case of SC/ST and ten years for PH and above the respective category
Pay scale = Application fee for General/OBC will be RS-100/- and for all other categories (sc/st/female) is nil. The candidates applying shall note that he/she shall furnish security amount RS-25000/- in the event of his/her engagement for the post of BPM and RS-10000/- For other categories. The security should be in the form of fidelity guarantee bond, or the national savings certificate pledged to the Dept of posts in the name of the president of India.
Accommodation for Locating the branch post office = The candidate who is selected for the engagement of BPM shall have to provide the centrally located accommodation in the branch post village within the 30 days for the use of post office premises and expenditure of hiring if anyone need to be tolerated by the candidates.
